Phillip J. "PJ" Miller

Phillip J. Miller, 26, of Route 11, Homer, died suddenly from injuries sustained in a tractor trailer accident in Binghamton on Wednesday September 14, 2016

A lifelong area resident, he was born January 30, 1990, to Phillip L. Miller and Margaret “Peggy” Neuman and was a 2008 graduate of Homer High School.

PJ was currently employed by Venice Trucking and was proud of the fact that he had driven in all 48 of the contiguous United States.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his four-wheeler in the mud. He loved hanging out with family and friends, particularly at bonfires, parties in Marathon and at Bear Camp in the Adirondacks.

Surviving is his fiancé, Crystal Allen, his pride and joy son, Bryer Daniel Miller; mother, Peggy Neuman of Preble; his father, Phillip L. Miller (Jackie Fahey) of Homer; a sister, Sarah (Matthew) Button of North Brookfield, NY; a nephew, Carson Button and his maternal grandmother, Joann Neuman of Homer; his beloved second family, Shirley and Marshall Morehouse and crew as well as the Allen family of Cuyler; several aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and his faithful companion, General.

PJ was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Luretta Teeter and Ronald Miller and maternal grandfather, Paul Neuman.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 N. Main St., Homer.

Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5-8 p.m.

A trust is being established for Bryer and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in may be directed in to Phillip Miller, 5621 Route 11, Homer, NY 13077.
