Edward A. Garv

Edward A. Garv, 73, of Buddy Drive, Moravia, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 while under the care of Hospice and his loving family.

Born March 21, 1943 in the Manhattan, he was the son of the late Edward and Edna Munsterman Garv.

Ed was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1961-1964.

Ed and his wife, Linda Grummons Garv, enjoyed 33 years living in California. They returned home to be closer to family in 2013.

He enjoyed camping, panning for gold and going to the casino, especially his many trips to Laughlin, NV.

In addition to his loving wife of 29 years, Linda M. Garv; he is survived by a sister, Marie (Phil) Thill Skinner of Placentia, CA; their children, Edward T. (Sue) Garv of Tarpon Springs, FL; Stacy (Glenn) Beebe of McLean, NY; Shawn Parker (Linda Short) of Owego, NY and Stephanie (Ed) West of McLean, NY, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ed was predeceased by a son, David G. Garv in 2010.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the Groton Assembly of God Church, 701 S. Main St., Groton, with Pastor Sam Neno officiating.

Calling hours will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
