Tina Caldwell, 68, passed away on December 17, 2025, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Tina was born February 15, 1957 in Cortland. She graduated from Homer High School.
Tina was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest source of pride was her family, and she loved children. She worked at Here We Grow Child Care Center for over 20 years in the Toddler 3 room. She also volunteered her time at Cort-Lanes, heading their youth bowling program on Saturday mornings for over 40 years.
In her too-short time here Tina made the most of the life that she was given. She enjoyed spending time with her family and with her friends, traveling with her husband, gardening, and attending her grandchildren’s various sporting and school events. She fought and survived breast cancer. She loved strawberries, snowmen and dragonflies, and this was reflected in her carefully curated home decor. Tina’s heart was bottomless, and she poured love into those lucky enough to surround her.
Tina is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Larry, as well as her children, Jennifer (Matthew) Mrozowski and Christopher (Lauren) Caldwell; her sister, Carol (Tom) Compton; mother-in-law, Eleanor Caldwell; sister-in-law, Kelley (Brian) Sciera, her grandchildren, Adam, Camden, Seth and Arlo, and many nieces, nephews and family members.
She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Joyce Tuttle; her brothers, Gary Tuttle and Ralph Tuttle; father-in-law, Lawrence Caldwell, as well as her nephew, Chad Tuttle.
Calling hours for Tina will be on Monday December 29, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home located at 5016 U.S. Route 11, Homer. A memorial service led by Pastor John Aukema will follow at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tina’s name are asked to consider the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation at www.komen.org.
