Theodore N. Strauf

Theodore (Ted) N. Strauf, 68, of 8 Riverview Ave., Cortland, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018.  

A Lifelong area resident, Ted was born December 13, 1949 in Cortland, a son of the late Clarence (Bill) Strauf and Jennifer (Jenny) Cooper Strauf.

He was retired from Suit-Kote Corp., Cortland after several years of employment.

Ted was an avid hunter, he enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.

Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years, Sharon Thorington Strauf; children, Stacey (Rich) Aylesworth of Homer; Melissa (Gerrod) Darling of Homer; Matt (Amy) Strauf of Moravia; Troy (Terri) Thorington of McGraw; his grandchildren, Ryan and Brandon Aylesworth of Homer; Josh (Sarah) Strauf; Bailey, Maurice and Garrett Darling; Shelby (Justin) Pittsley; Shelly, Ryan and Riley Strauf, Colby, Connor and Cassady Watkins; Rae, Emma and Jordon Thorington; two brothers, Arvin Strauf and Steve (Lorie) Strauf; and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Eagles Lodge, 155 Port Watson Street, Cortland, NY 13045.
