Sherry E. (Kodya) Mulcahy

Sherry E. Mulcahy, 67, of Cortland, died unexpectedly on November 21, 2023.

A lifelong area resident, Sherry was born August 5, 1956, the eldest daughter of the late Francis ‘Fran’ and Beverly ‘Midge’ Beers Kodya.

Sherry retired from Homer Central School, where she worked as a teacher’s aide for 35+ years.

She loved visits from and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her two daughters, Kristen (Michael) Curley of Holly Springs, NC and Kelli Mulcahy of Fuquay Varina, NC; three grandsons, Ryan and Jacob Curley and Aiden Mulcahy; her former husband, Tim Mulcahy; two sisters, Sandy Kodya of Cortland and Stephanie (Jeremy) Beckett of Wake Forest, NC; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

In keeping with Sherry’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Memorial contributions in Sherry’s memory may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
