Sharon L. (Thorington) Strauf

Sharon L. Strauf, 70, formerly of Riverview Ave., Cortland, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 following a brief illness. 

Sharon was born March 19, 1951, a daughter of the late Alfred and Velma Soules Thorington. 

She was employed for several years at the JM Murray Center and was a home health care provider for many years. 

Surviving are her four children, Stacey (Rich) Aylesworth of Homer; Melissa (Gerrod) Darling of Homer; Matt (Amy) Strauf of Moravia and Troy (Terri) Thorington of McGraw; a sister, Betsy Brewer; her grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Josh, Bailey, Maurice, Garrett, Darling; Shelby, Shelly, Ryan, Riley, Colby, Connor, Cassady, Rae, Emma, Jordon and Jonathon; several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore ‘Ted’ Strauf and her siblings; Elenor Dunn, Loretta Taylor, Richard Thorington, Larry Thorington, Kenneth Thorington, and Gary Thorington. 

A Celebration of Life will be held announced.
