Roger Curtis Harris, Jr., of Clinton St., Homer, passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 94.
A lifelong area resident, he was born November 16, 1928; a son of the late Roger C. Harris, Sr. and Marian McMaster Harris.
Roger honorably served in the U.S. Air Force from 1946 to 1949, where he was a tail gunner for the 343rd bomb squad. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
He retired after 20 years of employment as a purchasing manager from the Pall Corp. in 1990 and had most recently worked at Home Depot in East Syracuse for several years.
Surviving are his three sons, Curtis (Debbie) Harris of Riverside, CA; Wayne Harris of Homer and Robert (Laurie) Harris of Chesterfield, VA; three grandson, Morgan, Michael and Nicholas Harris; a brother, Jaffrey (Nadyne) Harris of Homer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Ann Harris, in 2012.
In keeping with Roger’s wishes, services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
