Robert Warren Auchmoody

Robert W. Auchmoody, 45, of Lake Como, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 15, 2026.

Rob was born May 10, 1980 in Dade City, FL; a son of Warren Auchmoody and Cheryl Leet.

He was a 20+ year employee at Tallmadge Tire in Cortland, working in many capacities over the years. His customers were loyal to Rob over the years and he made many lasting friendships from his time at Tallmadge.

Rob is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kate Griswold Auchmoody; his children, Jade (Robert) Kunkel, Brianna (Tre) Kinne, Alana (Michael) Auchmoody, Devyn Comerford, Kada Auchmoody; grandchildren, Alea and Joseph Kunkel, Theo Kinne; mother, Cheryl Leet; mother and father-in-law Teena and Jim Griswold; brothers, David (Angie) Auchmoody, Jon (Leah) Auchmoody, Warren (Brianne) Auchmoody II; sister, Tabatha (Roger) Cordary; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Warren Auchmoody; father figure, Robert (Gloria) Rogers; sisters, Diana Hamsley, Deborah Auchmoody; nephew, Dallas Auchmoody.

Rob had a passion for cars and working on anything with a motor. He dreamed of building a truck for his daughter, Kada. Rob owned and raced the 242 at Skyline Raceway in his younger years. Rob loved anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. Rob was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and family to no end.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Watering Hole, 1307 E. Lake Road, Cortland, beginning at 5:00pm.
