Paul L. Miller

Paul L. Miller, 90, formerly of McLean Rd., Cortland, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Cortland Park Nursing Center.

Paul was born April 2, 1929 in Tiffin, OH, a son of the late Nelson W. Miller and Olivia Gassner Miller.

He was employed at Smith Corona for more than 40 years, retiring in 1992.

Surviving are his five children, Martin Miller of Cortland; Theresa Miller (Brian Miles) of Cortland; Patricia (Dan) Lyon of Homer; Cynthia (Scott) Courtney of Fonda, NY and Bonita (James) St. Peter of Scott; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn J. Thornton Miller in 2012; two brothers, John and William Miller; two sisters, Anna Demond and Pauline Duel and a granddaughter, Kelly Lyon Worthington in 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. Interment in Virgil Cemetery will be delayed until spring.  

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral.  

Memorial contributions in Mr. Miller’s name may be to the charity of one’s choice.
