Paul La Verne Crandall

Paul La Verne Crandall, 86, of Cortland, passed away on February 1, 2023 at the Guthrie Medical Center in Cortland, NY.

A lifelong area resident, Paul was born December 25, 1936 in Dryden, the son of the late Robert and Ethel Appleby Crandall and attended Truxton High School.

Paul loved learning how things worked and was a self-taught mechanic.

Paul worked as a farm hand for Leon Dawson in Cortland for most of Paul’s life.

Paul was very close to his nephew, Dale Phillips, Sr.

Paul is survived by one brother, Carl Crandall and 13 nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister and best friend, Lois J. Crandall Phillips in 2000.

Interment in East Homer Cemetery, will delay until spring. There will be no calling hours at this time.
