N. Mark Ketcham

Mark Ketcham, 61, of McGraw, passed away on May 30, 2023, in the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.  

Mark was born December 24, 1961, a son of Charles Snyder and Hazel Ketcham. He was raised by Kenneth and Vivian Thornton and he considered them his parents.

Mark was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of Walden Oaks Country Club. He also enjoyed racing, especially NASCAR.

He was most recently employed by Voyant Beauty and had previously worked at Marietta and Intertek Testing.

Surviving is his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda L. Corson Ketcham; daughter, Jessica (Patrick) Nolin of Savannah; his son, Brandon Ketcham (Kristina) of Glide, OR; and a daughter-in-law, Rachael Ketcham. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Peyton, Triston and Kadin; two sisters, Shirley Dietrich (Dusty) of Meansville, GA; and Patricia Parker of Cortland; his brother, Dan (Rachel) Thornton of Marathon; brother and sister-in-laws, Dana Corson; Kevin Corson (De-Anne); Andrew Corson (Rebecca); Terrence (Jen) Corson and Louise Thornton as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Thornton, Jr. and Jack Thornton and two brothers-in-law, Bradley and Jeff Corson.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, from 11:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. at the Donald Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. Burial in Atwater Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
