Michael K. Smith

Michael K. Smith, 68, of Route 41, Scott, passed away following a period of declining health on May 17, 2022.

He was born March 2,1954, a son of the late Donald and Lorene O’Donnell Smith.

Mike was a car enthusiast, he enjoyed driving through car lots to see the new models of vehicles, securing old car parts and talking cars with anyone.

Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Lorraine Hill Smith; a daughter, Amanda (Dan) Platt of Preble; brother, Mark (Susan) Smith of Cortland; two grandchildren, Aaron and Addison Platt; a nephew, Adam (Kathryn) Smith; niece, Laura Loveless and their children.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Smith’s name can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
