Michael Dennis Pooler

Michael Dennis Pooler, of Little York passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 73.

Mike was born January 18, 1952 in Corpus Christi, TX, a son of the late Donald Miller and Donna Pooler Miller. 

He was a graduate of Cortland High School. While attending high school, he worked at his dad's service station, getting his start as an “Ace” mechanic. Upon graduation, he started work at Agway Motor Transportation Services as a mechanic and later as service manager for 22 years, until their closing. Mike then went to work at T W Truck Equippers in Syracuse, Hewitt Brothers in Locke as a fuel oil delivery driver for 12 years and retired from Builders Best in Cortland in 2024, as a lumber delivery driver.

He loved his life on Little York Lake, playing cards, watching sports on TV, reading, going to casinos and especially cruising the high seas with his faithful companion, Connie.

Mike is survived by his love, Connie Weddle Ingraham; her son's, Todd (Michele) Cotterill and Chad (Cassie) Cotterill; his children, Heidi Loveless; Michael Pooler; and Heather Pooler (Jason Naylor); his grandchildren, Matthew; Dennis; Aaron; Madison; Michael, Jr.;  Jasmine (Brian); Cassidy (Tyler); Jason; Caitlyn; Kaitlin and Morgan Cotterill; Madelyn and Drew Cotterill and  Shane and Elizabeth Moore, as well as a great-granddaughter, Harper. Also surviving, are his sisters, Diane Hamilton and Cheryl Hart as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Pamela and brothers, Richard; Robert and David.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 U.S. Route 11, Homer.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
