Martin Reid Ostrander, 69, of Cortland, went to be with the Lord, peacefully at home on October 26th, 2021, surrounded by his wife (Kitten), the love of his life, and family.
Marty was born in November 9, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey to Richard and Eleanor Ostrander. He received his high school GED upon entering the U.S. Navy. He honorably served as a Petty Officer 3rd class Jet Mechanic stationed in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He retired from Cortland Savings Bank after more than 20 years of service.
Marty especially enjoyed spending time with all of his family, as well as fishing and painting. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans Administration and NRA.
Marty is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cathy Ann (Malison) Ostrander; his children, Samantha (Melvin) Pender and Martin Richard (Amanda) Ostrander; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Zebulon) Ailstock, Stephany, Jasmine, Noah, Matthew, Maelle, Emmeline, and Aurora and his great grandchildren, Savannah, Preston, Anya.
Marty is predeceased by his parents and siblings, Richard, Debra, and Robin.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, NY. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.
