Marjorie H. Soule, 97, a resident of the Friendship House, Cortland, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 following a brief illness.
She was born August 5, 1922 in Mileses, NY, a daughter of the late Guy and Zella Burdick Walters.
Marjorie was employed as a custodian at the Homer Elementary School for 26 years.
Following her retirement, Marjorie, and her late husband, Roger, moved to Zephyrhills, FL, where they lived for 21 years.
She loved nature especially flowers and birds.
Surviving are her children, James (Nancee) Soule of Cookeville, TN; Ronald Soule of Syracuse; Cathy (Roy) Stone of Homer and Judy (John) Swayze of Tully; twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends from the Friendship House
She was predeceased by her husband; Roger F. Soule in 2006 and a daughter, Carole Hart in 2019.
Due to the current restrictions in place for the COVID-19, services for Marjorie will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Soule’s memory may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
