Linette G. (Griswold) Welsh

Linette G. Welsh, 82, of McGraw, died on July 4, 2023 in the Cortland Regional Medical Center.

A lifelong area resident, she was born December 9, 1940, a daughter of the late Gordon and Marion VanAlstine Griswold.

Linette will be remembered for cutting hair in her kitchen for anyone who needed one. She was a long-time hospice volunteer and worked many years as a hairdresser at the Cortland Regional Nursing Facility.

She was a faithful member of the McGraw Baptist Church.

Surviving are her three children, Nancy (Don) Davis of Victor; Nicholas Welsh of Cincinnatus and Marcus Welsh of McGraw; her grandchildren, Sydney and Colton Welsh; Cooper and Ty Davis and Kelan, Zachary and Spencer Welsh; her sister, Susan (Ronald) Porter of Homer and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth J. Welsh in 2023 and her son, Christopher L. Welsh in 2019.

In keeping with Linette’s wishes, there are no calling hours or services. Interment in McGraw Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
