Liang Tan, 60, of Stevenson St., Cortland, passed away unexpectedly on November 8, 2024.
A longtime area resident, ‘LT’ had been employed at the JM Murray Center, Ponderosa Restaurant and was currently working at Marshall’s.
LT enjoyed an annual fishing trip every year to the Thousand Islands with Tulip Travel. He always looked forward to the trophy he would bring home. He loved the NY Giants football team and watching the news. He was an inspiration and friend to many. Always giving a smile and helping wherever he could. He often talked of his past memories and many friends that he had. He was very close to those he lived with and the staff at his home and called them his family.
He is survived by the Bishop family, whom cared for Liang for more than 30 years as well as his many friends at the various ARC homes in the area.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 U.S. Route 11, Homer.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
