Karen J. Buckley, 76, of Homer, passed away following a period of declining health on September 8, 2025.
A lifelong area resident, Karen was born August 9, 1949, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mariam Hale Johnson.
Karen was a longtime and faithful communicant of St. Margaret's Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed live music, dancing and participating in events at the Homer Senior Center.
She was employed for many years at CFCU and had also worked as the Deputy Clerk for the Town of Homer.
Surviving is her husband, Meredith Buckley; her two children, Robin M. Livingston of Steamboat Springs, CO; and Joseph T. (Karen) Livingston of Fairfax, VA.
Karen was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Thomas Livingston in 2017.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at St. Margaret’s Church, 14 Copeland Avenue, Homer.
Karen’s family will receive relatives and friends in the basement of the church following the funeral mass from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, will be held at the convenience of the family.
