Jane B. Schuehler

Jane B. Schuehler, passed away on April 1, 2020 at the age of 91, in the Cortland Regional Nursing Facility where she had been a resident since 2016.

She born November 26, 1928, a daughter of the late William and Naida Coon Weddle and had been a resident of the Cortland area all of her life.

Jane was a lifelong member of the Homer United Methodist Church, longtime volunteer at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, a 4-H leader and homemaker.

Surviving are her children, Diane M. Breeds of Cortland; Sue B. (Alan) Stevens of Virgil; Karen E.S. (Scott) Hicks of Homer; Gary G. (Kathleen) Schuehler of Bernhards Bay; and Gordon D.  (Mary) Schuehler of Horseheads; her grandchildren, Brian and Kyle Schuehler; Melissa (Brian) Lakie; Heidi (William) Turner; Alison Finch (Lance Benjamin) and Danielle (Jesse) Sherwood. Also surviving are her great grandchildren, Mallory, Claire and Ava Turner; Abigail, Olivia and Bailey Lakie; Emma and Lucy Finch; Nicholas Sherwood and Maia Brewer; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jane was predeceased by her first husband, Douglas Breeds in 1961; her second husband, George Schuehler, Jr. in 2002; a sister, Ruth (Leonard) Contento and a brother, Stanley (Jean) Weddle.

Services will be conducted privately and at the convenience of the family.
