Ila A. Webb

Ila A. Webb, age 89, of Hebron, IN, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

She was the daughter of Harrison W. Thomas and Hazel E. (Crouch) Thomas. She was born in Tioga Center, New York on July 25, 1934.

Ila had several hobbies: making cards, stamp collecting, knitting, helping others and playing the piano. She was also a member of the Presbyterian church in Cortland, N.Y. Ila married Edwin M. Webb on March 27, 1954 and was married to him for 40 years before his passing on May 10, 1994. On September 24, 2005 she married Harold N. Webb who then passed on May 23, 2013. She was a graduate of NVCS, Class of 1953 and graduated from Liberty College of Lynchburg, VA in 1997.

Ila is survived by her sons: Edward M. (Sue) Webb of Demotte, Bruce L. (Carol) Webb of Hebron, Wayne T. (Kathy) Webb of Demotte and Todd R. Webb of Homer, NY; and daughter, Priscilla A. (Jim) Petropoulos of Lowell; 21 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Opal Walsh of NY; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Ila was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Balduf on April 18, 1992; granddaughter, Jennifer L. Carpenter January 27, 2013; two brothers, Harold Neal Thomas and Harrison Miles Thomas; two sisters, Marion Belle Thomas and Hazel Elsie Pellett.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 U.S. Route 11, Homer.

The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Ila’s name to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 769 W 800 S, Hebron, IN 46341.
