Helen A. Mauzy, 86, of State Route 281, Homer, passed away while under the care of Hospice and her loving family on Sunday, April 30, 2023.
She was born August 5, 1936 in Steamboat Springs, CO, a daughter of the late Ray and Myra Frink Harrington and had been a resident of the Homer area for many years.
Helen and her late husband, Robert Dunham, owned and operated DUNKOMO Farms in Moravia. She enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills, but her family was her pride and joy.
Surviving are her five children, Ray (Mary) Dunham of Cortland; Christine (Gary) Slade of Homer; Stephanie (Lee) Thompson of Franklin, NC; Brian (Annie) Dunham of Cortland and Gregory (Sherri) Dunham of Moravia; two stepchildren, Michael (Kathi) Mauzy of Texas and Linda Mauzy of South Carolina; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Dunham; her second husband, Kenneth Mauzy; two brothers, Earl and Del Harrington and a sister, M. Loraine Cooper.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday at the Dresserville Baptist Church, 6339 Crofoot Rd., Moravia, with Pastor Tom Rofe officiating.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Donald Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Mauzy’s name may be directed to Hospice of Cortland, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045.
