Eveline H. (Stoesser) Lane

Mrs. Eveline H. Lane, 89, of Ellwood Ave., Cortland, passed away following a period of declining health on Monday, November 11, 2019.

Eveline was born and raised in North Branch, NY; and was a graduate of Downsville Central School.

She retired in 1985 from Smith Corona, following 15 years of employment.

Eveline is survived by a son; Robert E. (Kristine) Lane, Jr. of Cortland; her grandchildren, Kaitlin (Ryan) Pennello; Jason (Andrea) Lane and Bryan (Heather) Lane; as well as two great grandsons, Mason Lane and Robert Lane.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Lane, Sr., two sons, Harold F. “Butch” Lane and Richard D. Lane; a daughter, Betty J. Lane; two sisters, Pearl Mills and Mildred Cassman as well as two brothers, Melvin and Harold Stoesser.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Lane’s name may be to the Cortland SPCA, 879 McLean Rd., Cortland, NY 13045.
