Elda F. Ochs

Elda F. Ochs, of Gracie Rd., Cortland, passed away on June 22, 2018 at the age of 96.

Elda was born May 10, 1922 in Madison, NJ, the daughter of the late Harold and Alice VanVoorhis Felch.

She graduated from nursing school and was employed as a Register Nurse at Overlook Hospital in New Jersey.  

Mrs. Ochs was instrumental in the operation, along with her late husband, Clarence, of Bestway Enterprises, where over the years she served in many capacities.

She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, Cortland.

Surviving is her son, Karl (Debra) Ochs of Cortland; four grandchildren, Tracy, Jessica, Laura and Benjamin as well as four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, with Pastor Michael Dunn serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 until the time of the funeral.
