Heaven seen you in ages!
It seems right that Doug Clark, age 59, left us with one final laugh. As a professional purveyor of “pun” ishments and dad jokes, 3 time (almost) champion of the Homer Chicken Wing Eating Contest, as well as his much more official title of Principal Engineer, he left behind a legacy of laughter, love of fantastical literature and science fiction, and joy. One that his wife Lisa, son Zach, daughter Lexie, son-in-law Mike, and future Daughter in Law Adrianna as well as his siblings Wayne, Dawn, Kim, Greg, his mother Ann, In-Laws, many cousins, grandcats, neighbors, stray people his children brought home he “adopted”, Knick the Knight, and the one buck he had a feud with won’t soon forget. As a Bills fan, Doug was an optimist against all odds and everywhere Doug went he left behind a new friend with a story to tell. Doug was a talented brew master who was fond of Polish Polka, and if any man could bring beer to heaven, to paraphrase a song, it would be him. To tell every tale of Doug would be a novel of epic proportions, one we wish he could have written as he was a talented writer as well as scientist. Doug was never one for long speeches, so we will leave you all with one of his favorite quotes, “Live Long, and Prosper”. He always preferred a good laugh over crying, so please join us in celebrating his life.
