Dennis M. Hollenbeck, 80 of Clinton St. Homer passed away while under the care of Hospice and his loving family on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
A lifelong area resident, he was born April 21, 1945, a son of the late Howard and Pauline Hamilton Hollenbeck.
Dennis enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964 and served until his honorable discharge in 1967.
Denny was employed for 50 years at Ottenschott Construction, primarily as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Surviving is his wife, Pam Hollenbeck; his children, Dennis Hollenbeck; Christina (Alan) Brown; Michael Currie; Rick (Emily) Currie; Jennifer (Dave) Baker and Steven Wyant; his grandchildren, Jacob Brown; Jessica (Jacob) Burhans; Anna Young; Timothy; Bailey; Jayden; Jaxson and Bethany; his great grandchildren, Bailey; Blake; Brayden; Kylen and Oaklynn.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ursula Hollenbeck; a daughter, Tanya Wyant; and three siblings, Gary, Ronald and Doreen Hollenbeck.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 U.S. Route 11, Homer. Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be held in the spring in Cold Brook Cemetery.
