David W. Sears

David W. “Whitey” Sears, 65, of Preble Rd., Preble, passed away following a brief illness on October 17, 2024.

A lifelong area resident, David was born May 21, 1959, a son of the late Robert and Margaret Caughey Sears.

He had been most recently employed as a welder at Pall Trinity, retiring due to his declining health.

Whitey enjoyed watching sports and horseracing.

Surviving are his four children, Erica Sears, Robert (Andrea) Sears and Kyle Sears, all of Camillus and Michael (Ciera) Sears of Taneytown, MD; his siblings, Linda (Lynn) Webb of Madison Heights, VA; John (Kathie) Sears of McGraw; and Bill (Jill) Sears of Westerville, OH; eleven grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with David's wishes services, will be private and at the convenience of the family.
