Dale W. Withey

Dale William Withey, 72, of Creal Road, Homer, passed away following a brief illness on August 6, 2023.

A lifelong area resident, he was born November 19, 1950, the son of Ellis and Louise Withey.

Dale retired in 2015 from Imperial Door Controls and had previously worked at Cortland Glass.

He was an avid football fan and car enthusiast, particularly his 1971 Corvette Stingray. He also loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt.

Surviving is his mother, Louise A. Withey; his loving wife of 27 years, Nancy Cloutier Withey; two children, Jeffrey Withey of Little York and Deidre Withey (Benny) of Whitney Point; his siblings, Marjorie (Richard) Jenney of Virgil and David (Arlen) Withey of Groton. Also surviving is his father-in-law, Richard Cloutier of Cortland and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Ellis G. Withey; his twin-brother, Donald Withey and his mother-in-law, Pat Cloutier.

Memorial services will be held 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer

The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
