Candy L. Phillips

Candy L. Phillips, 60, of Port Watson St., Cortland, passed away on September 4, 2023.

A lifelong Cortland resident, Candy was born September 5,1962, a daughter of Gerald (Bucky) Phillips and Barbara Hicks.

Candy worked for many years at the JM Murray Center, and many years at the Horizon House where she had many dear friends.

Candy leaves behind her sisters, Tina Kinney; Suzie Bush Miller; her brothers, Don (Tracey) Phillips; Bill (Patricia) Phillips; Tim (Barb) Phillips and David (Sarah) Phillips; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Candy leaves behind her longtime boyfriend, Eugene Grant; Helen Whitney, who was like a mother to Candy; her very dear friends, Amanda, Iva, Iva Jean and June who Candy spent a lot of her time with.

Candy was predeceased by her father, Gerald; her stepmother, Patricia; and her brother, Lane.

Calling hours be held from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, NY.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
