Betty J. Lane

Betty J. Lane, 60, of Cortland, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2019.

A lifelong area resident, Betty was born December 28, 1958, the daughter of Robert E. and Eveline H. Stoesser Lane.

Betty was employed, for more than 20 years, as a registered nurse at The Nottingham, Jamesville, NY.

She is survived by her mother, Eveline H. Lane; her brother, Robert E. (Kristine) Lane, Jr.; niece, Kaitlin (Ryan) Pennello; two nephews, Jason (Andrea) Lane and Bryan (Heather) Lane; as well as two great nephews, Mason Lane and Robert Lane.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by two brothers, Harold ‘Butch’ Lane and Richard Lane.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be to the Cortland SPCA, 879 McLean Rd., Cortland, NY 13045.
