Betty Ann Braun

Elizabeth A. ‘Betty Ann’ Braun, 82, of Center Street, Homer, passed away following a period of declining health on August 6, 2025.

She was born January 31, 1943 in Lowville, a daughter of the late George and Emma Largett Farr.

Betty Ann dedicated her life to her family. She loved taking care of her husband and children and took great pride in her home. She was a former member of the Homer PTA and volunteered countless hours at the Homer Schools for many activities.

She was a longtime and faithful communicant of St. Margaret’s Church, Homer, where she taught religious education for several years and was a member of the Human Development Committee.

Surviving is her loving husband of 54 years, Edgar D. ‘Ed’ Braun; two sons, Christopher D. (Catherine) Braun of York, PA and Patrik L. Braun of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren, Andrew, Leia and Isaac Braun; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Betty Ann was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Louise Collins and Joan Sweeney and two brothers, Thomas and Vincent Farr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at St. Margaret’s Church, 14 Copeland Avenue, Homer. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, will be held at the convenience of the family.
