Berniece Shockey

Berniece Shockey, 89, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away on November 11, 2024 in Marathon, NY. 

Berniece was born October 3, 1935, in Pekin, Ohio a daughter of the late Rollie and Sabra Adams Morris.

She retired at the age of 70 from a medical office but worked most of her life managing her own businesses. She was a member of the Kings Mills Baptist church for many years before she became homebound. 

Surviving is a daughter, Lori (Timothy) Gordon of Marathon, NY; six grandchildren, John, Scott, Rachael, Hannah, Elias and Ellen and four great-grandchildren, John, Cooper, Valerie and Henry. 

Berniece was predeceased by her daughters, Deborah Nordstrom and Ellen Shockey; a brother, Stanley Morris and two sisters, Mildred Martin and Grace Harmon.

In keeping with Berniece’s wishes, services will be held privately.
