Barbara L. Gebhardt, of Clinton St., Homer, passed away while under the care of her loving family on September 26, 2024, at the age of 95.
A lifelong area resident, Barb was born June 9, 1929, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Louise Boyce Little
She retired after more than 30 years of employment from SUNY Cortland.
She was a lifelong, and active member, of the Homer United Methodist Church, where over the years, she had served in most, if not all, of the church’s activities from Chair of the food pantry, Sunday school and most notably the choir.
Survived by her two sons, Steven (Karen) Bean and Russell (Diane) Bean; sister, Mary Hart; a brother, Donald Little; two sisters-in-law, Carol and Iva Little; five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband's, Merton Bean and Edward Gebhardt; a son, Richard Bean; and four brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Joseph and Harold Little.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the McGraw Community Center, 15 Clinton Street, McGraw. A service and time for sharing will begin at 1:00 p.m. led by Rev. Dr. Sung Jun Park. The family will receive friends and family immediately following until 3:00 p.m.
