Amy C. Morris

Amy C. Morris, 62, of Fairview Drive, Cortland, passed away on January 20, 2022 following a period of declining health.

A lifelong area resident, Amy was born August 25, 1959, the youngest child of the late Vernon and Amelia Argyle Morris.

Upon her graduation from Homer High School, she started work at the JM Murray Center, where she was happily employed for more than 30 years.

Amy had a zest for life and a strong will. She loved to travel, shop for treasurers and wearing her ‘bling’.

Surviving is her brother-in-law, Herman Whitney of Homer; two nephews, Michael (Griselda) Whitney of Texas and Eric Whitney of Homer; as well as several great nephews and cousins.

Amy was predeceased by her sister, Verna Morris Whitney in 2013.

Graveside services will be held in the spring at Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.
