Amanda S. Whiteman Reynolds, of Preble, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2025 at the age of 42.
A lifelong area resident, Amanda was born September 1, 1982, a daughter of the late Sheriff Duane “Dee” Whiteman and Victoria “Sue” Baldwin Whiteman.
Amanda was currently employed at Cortland Park and had previously worked for many years at CP Cash and Carry.
Amanda was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Dylan. She was a hard worker and for those who know…”Duck Duck Jeep”!
In addition to Dylan, she is survived by three sisters, Tina Whiteman of Cortland; Lisa (Thomas) Bongiovi of Hawley, PA; and Deanna (Steven) Romans of Kings Park, NY; nieces and nephews, Nicholas and Olivia Bongiovi and Duane, Anna and Johnnathan Romans. Also surviving is her companion, Daniel Johnson; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside services for Amanda will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Elmwood Cemetery, State Route 281, Preble. The family will receive relatives and friends following the service at the Mountain View Restaurant, 6662 State Route 281, Preble from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Amanda’s name are asked to consider the Preble Fire Department, 1911 Preble Road, Preble, NY 13141 or the Cortland SPCA, 879 McLean Road, Cortland, NY 13045.
