Scott D. Albro

Scott D. Albro, 58, of Pine St., Homer, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 while under the care of Hospice and his loving family.

A lifelong area resident, Scott was born May 8, 1958, a son of the late Richard and Irene LeSchander Albro.

Along with his son, Jeremy, Scott owned and operated S&J Construction, retiring in 2010. He had previously worked at McGraw Box, worked with his brother, Brad, had built houses for Ron Hedman and worked for Bruce Crandall.

Scott was an avid outdoorsman; hunting and fishing, he was a coin and antique collector and like watching baseball.

Surviving are his two children, Jeremy (Heidi) Albro and Jilleen Edinger (Johnnie Albright); a brother, Brad Albro (Julie Mackey); his sister; Sheila Knight; and the mother of his children, Sheryl Robertson. He was a loving grandfather to Chase Albro, Alayna Pagan, Lacey, Makenzy and Gunner Albro.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 Route 11, Homer.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

Memorial contributions in Mr. Albro’s name may be directed to the Homer Fire Dept., PO Box 58, Homer, NY 13077.
