Ms Margaret, we have lost a wonderful woman here but heaven has been blessed with the best. You truly are special to a lot of people. You were my public speech professor and my last class to graduate. I was full of fear but you listened and heard me. I was so sure I would fail this class. But you had a different outcome fir me. You helped me more than you can ever know. I passed with a good grade and great laughs. Your family is blessed to have had you in their lives. So long and God Bless Ms. Margaret. Thanks for the good memories I have.

I will never forget all that Mrs. Perfetti taught me about life, about love, and most importantly about words. At my last meeting with her I was able to share a book of poetry I had had published. Had she not been a mentor, an inspiration and the teacher who taught me to love poetry especially, I would never have found the refuge of placing words on paper. She will be missed, but she will always remembered with nothing but love.

My condolences to Mrs Perfetti's family. As a student at Homer High School I was greatly influenced by Mrs Perfetti . She taught me that women can be whatever they want to be and be proud of it . There was no need to be quiet about it . Say what you mean and mean what you say . She lived a long and happy life and I am so very glad to have known her .

I think "Mrs. Perfetti" and I have to smile - she brings so many memories to mind. She was a great teacher. She was someone who commanded respect. She was very gracious when I had to chair a pastoral council meeting with her as a member at my house when I was an awkward 17 and she was still one of my teachers. We looked at reviewing the constitution and possibly implementing Robert's Rules of Order. I'm grateful to be one of the ones who came under her influence. My thoughts are with the family,

Margaret and the Perfetti clan came into my my life on student exchange from Australia in 1987. It was a year that changed the course of my life and I daily reap the rewards of having learned so much from Margaret on how life should be lived and cherished. It gave me so much joy that we were able to visit last Christmas, so my family could evidence the foundation of all the stories I tell about my time with the Perfetti family. Firm, on the level and in control, but always overwhelmingly fair and generous, Margaret made me laugh so hard. Surely one of the most intelligent people I have ever had the pleasure of having in my life, Margaret could read anyone like a book. The world is a poorer place but Margaret is finally with Dave and surely they will be looking down on all the joy they have brought to the world not only with Mary, Patrick, Tim, Michael and Lucia's and their families but to everyone they have impacted in such a positive way. I recall all those one on one chats and insights you shared that impacted me to make changes in my life as a young man. I have the memories to continue to cherish and that can not be taken away by you leaving us. Wishing we could be there to celebrate a wonderful life.
Whilst distance will defeat our joining you, a round of Manhattans will be raised in your honour here in Adelaide, South Australia, to a great life lived to the fullest!

Whoever wrote the memorial page for Mrs. Perfetti sure had it right. Chaucer would have loved what she did with Canterbury Tales -- Old English was actually fun!

In that vein, I remember the year she took our "Special English" ( :-P ) class to New York City to see "Man of La Mancha". She was expecting, and said she would make sure to pack a shoe lace to take care of the delivery if it happened early. You had to be there....

Deep condolences and best thoughts for a life well lived.

The Perfetti and Jones families became intertwined when Margaret and Sue met in the Cortland Hospital's maternity ward. Mary Perfetti and Betsy Jones were born a day or so apart. We lived just around the corner from each other during all of our years in Homer. "Casey" and Tim, Betsy and Mary were always at one house, the other or in the playground between.
Summers when doors were open and Margaret was about, trips to "downtown" via walks across the green could take a long time.
We valued Dave and Margaret as friends throughout those years and are saddened by their passing.
The fabric of life is made poorer by the absence of Margaret.
Perfetti family, please know that you have our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers.
May she rest in peace.

Margaret had a way to bring out the best in you, whether you knew it or not, and continue to guide you. I want to thank Margaret for being my Mom's best friend at a time that she needed the support and guidance.
Condolences to the Perfetti and Morgan families with love and wonderful memories of the fine, admired woman that she was. God bless her and all of you

Dear family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Margaret touched so many of our lives over the years and we are all saddened by her passing. In high school, I had Margaret as an English teacher, as went on to graduate, she went on to become vice principal to principal. Many years later, I returned to college (TC3) and was able to have Margaret again for Speech class, and Tim in a history class.... I remember her class fondly, and as both of us were older and wiser, it was comforting to know Margaret was still the same. Her humor, honesty, quick wit made her such a wonderful educator. Oh how she loved her family so..She would often talk about all of you with pride. She did her job!

The last time I had contact with Margaret was outside Friendly's one cold winter evening. She was with a friend and both of them had fell down outside and unable to get up. As we helped her and her friend up, and Margaret went to get her vehicle. She pulled up in her big old car, I could do nothing but smile (thinking...same old Margaret...big car...and classy)...I looked in and said,"Mrs. Perfetti, you may not remember me, and maybe you do, but I was your student in high school and TC3, and you are still one classy woman!"

Margaret became principal when many women did not hold that position. She could play with the good ole boys and hold her own. Not one bit intimidated, she did her job and did it exceptionally well.

Rest in peace sweet Margaret. May your family find peace in all the memories they have. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers.

We are just wanting to thank Margaret for the time and INSIGHT she had, She made every effort to get through to her students, NO MATTER WHAT IT TOOK !
Keith was in the very first English class she ever taught, ACCORDING TO MARGARET , HE CAME SLIDING INTO THE CLASS AFTER THE BELL RANG , (the very first class on the very first day ) WITH A FIST FULL OF FRESHLY WRITTEN SPEEDING TICKETS, HE USED THEM AS HIS EXCUSE FOR BEING LATE TO THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Most teachers would have sent him to the office. NOT MARGARET, SHE TOLD HIM TO SIT HIS ASS DOWN. NOW,
FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS SHE GROOMED OUR LIVES WITHOUT OUR KNOWLEDGE . He would not do any oral speaking assignments. so she made him stay after school. They had a conference, she made a deal with him, If he would go to my DAD and ask permission to ask me out , in front of the whole class, and then actually do it, SHE WOULD PASS HIM FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR, THE NEXT DAY, SHE MADE HIM DO IT, We dated for 7 years and are still married . It will be 45 years in August, MARGARET KNEW HOW MUCH SHE MEANT TO US OVER THE YEARS, When we had our first child, she sent a beautiful arrangement and told us "I KNEW BETTER THAN YOU WHAT WAS BEST FOR YOU ," SHE ALSO TOLD ME , " THERE WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT THAT BOY, I REALLY LIKED HIM ! I COULDN'T PUT MY FINGER ON IT, BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING VERY SPECIAL ABOUT HIM !"
LAST FALL I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO VISIT HER, BRING HER A PLANT AND A THANK YOU CARD FOR ALL THE JOY SHE HAS AFFORDED US BY MAKING HIM DO HIS HOMEWORK !
YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS AND A MAJOR PART OF OUR LIVES !. REST IN PEACE DEAR LADY ! WE LOVE YOU !
