Harold Lewis Jandrew, Sr., 82, of Route 281, Preble, passed away following an extended illness on Sunday, April 1, 2018 in the Cortland Regional Nursing Facility.
Born November 8, 1935 in Massena, NY, one of 15 children born to the late George and Carrie Boak Jandrew.
Harold was employed for 57 years at Brewers Campbell Chain Corp. in Cortland, retiring in 2004.
He enjoyed bowling and throwing horseshoes, country music and traveling. He especially loved playing cards with his family and being with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years, Catherine Arnold Jandrew; his children, Tina Stanley (Steve Diamond); Bryon Jandrew; Harold Jandrew, Jr.; Tammy (Jeff) Ridilla; Ricky (Deanna) Jandrew and Helen (Scott) Coon; grandchildren, Corey, Tommy (Becky), Carrie, Tanya, Katrina (Jay), Jeremy (Megan), Eric, Adam and Julia. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Eldridge and Josephine Derouchia as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harold was predeceased by his siblings, Gladys Fetterly; George Jandrew; Robert Jandrew; Irene Jock; Elmer Jandrew; Ernie Jandrew; Leon Jandrew; Arnold “Sam” Jandrew; Charlie Jandrew; Ralph Jandrew; Melvina Jandrew and Carl Jandrew.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer. There will be a time for sharing a story or memory immediately following at 7:00 p.m.
