Louise A. Brown, 81, of Sessions Hill Rd., Homer, passed away on February 16, 2021.
A lifelong area resident, she was born August 27, 1939, a daughter of the late Harry and Freda Troup Searles.
Louise was once employed as a legal secretary for attorney John Jones, and had been a secretary at the Cortland County Probation Department before devoting her time to raising her children.
While home with the children, Louise was an active refunder. She contributed to the family through her coupon clippings, savings and redeeming activities. She shared her successes with others by conducting rebating workshops.
Surviving is her husband of 61 years, David J. Brown; her children, Brian (Anastasia) Brown of Ellicott City, MD; Chrystal (Rom) Dulskis of Orlando, FL and Yvonne Myers (John Caputo) of North Lauderdale, FL. Her grandchildren, Alec, Davis and Jarrett Dulskis; Jessica and Addison Myers and Samantha, Joseph and Alexandra Brown as well as a brother-in-law, Fran Kessler; and her sister-in-law, Norma Searles.
She was predeceased by a sister, Connie Kessler and a brother, Aaron Searles.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, with Rev. Allan Ferguson officiating. Services will be streamed live at https://www.facebook.com/donaldlbarberfuneralhome.
