Judith D. Neville

Judith D. Neville, 77, of Cortland, passed away following a period of declining health on February 6, 2023 in the Elizabeth Brewster House, Homer.

Judy was born June 10, 1945 in Cortland, a daughter of the late G. Boyd and Juanita Houser DeHart.

She was employed for many years as the office manager for Dr. Patrick Hayes medical practice. Judy and her late husband, Joseph F. Neville moved to Florida in 1998. There, she worked as an office manager for Dr. Paul Jones in Brandon, FL. until she retired in 2009. She continued to reside in Florida until 2018 when she returned home to NY.

She is survived by her two loving daughters, Jody E. (Gene) Caufield of Marathon and Jerri Lynne (Will) Frerck of Paradise, TX; her granddaughter, Josey Lynne Frerck; brother, Frederick (Marianne) DeHart of Palmer, AK; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph F. Neville in 2007 and a brother Gerald DeHart in 1988. 

Memorial services will be held at noon on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment in Cortland Rural Cemetery will be delayed until spring.
