Beverly J. Heath was reunited with her forever Valentine, Denny, on February 14th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Bev was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Waverly High School and Humboldt University in Minneapolis, before beginning her career at NYSEG in Binghamton where she met her husband, Dennis. The couple moved to Cortland in 1964 where Bev began work as a media specialist at SUNY Cortland. She retired after 28 years to pursue her dream of opening Heath Manor Tea Room, which she operated for 10 years in the 19th century home the family renovated.
Bev enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing and crafting with her UFO group, and spending time with her family. She was also a dedicated member of the Homer Senior Center and the Living Word Free Methodist Church.
Bev is predeceased by her husband Dennis. She is survived by her sons, Martin (Catherine) of Truxton and Raymond of Truxton, her grandchildren Taryn and Ian, and several treasured relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer, followed by a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. at Living Word Free Methodist Church, Cortland.
In memory of Bev and her tireless work for others, donations can be made to the Cortland County Community Food Pantry. The family thanks everyone for their support and prayers over the last month.
