James A. Crandall, Sr., 55, of Route 13, Truxton, passed asway on Saturday while under the care of Hospice and his loving family.
A lifelong area resident, Jim was born April 23, 1963, a son of Duane and Patrica Frink Crandall.
He faithfully served in the US Army from 1982-1989.
For the past 26 year, Jim had been employed with Paul Bunyan Products (Gutchess Lumber) in Preble.
He enjoyed being outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes or watching sports on the television. For several years Jim did the mowing at Truxton Rural Cemetery and St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Surviving is his loving wife of 24 years, Marie Leach Crandall; his mother, Patrica Crandall of Truxton; his children, Brynne (Andy) Stockton of Liverpool; Charlena Crandall of Alabama; Jamie Crandall of Alabama; Kendra (Matt) Dawson of Otisco; James Crandall, Jr. of Truxton and Megan Crandall (Russell Strickland) of Truxton; eight grandchildren; his siblings, Patrice Mayne of Texas; Nicholas (Matilda) Crandall of Texas; Joanne Crandall (Gary Mierke) of Truxton and Deborah Ingraham of Texas as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be held on Friday at 3:00 p.m. in Truxton Rural Cemetery, Route 13, Truxton.
Calling hours will be held on Friday afternoon from Noon-2:00 p.m. at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer.
