Wayne A. Grinnell

Wayne A. Grinnell, 68, formerly of Hewitt Rd., Scott, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2017 in the Crown Center Nursing Facility.

A lifelong area resident, he was born May 22, 1949, a son of the late Lysle and Geraldine Wood Grinnell. He was a graduate of Homer High School.

Wayne was employed for many years at Brewer-Titchener, retiring due to health reasons.

Wayne loved to hunt and fish. He played slow pitch softball for many years for several teams in Scott, mostly with Glen Haven Hotel.

Surviving are his brother, Ward (Louisa) Grinnell of Scott; two sisters, Betty (Billy) Williams of Cortland and Diann (Randy) Stilson of Canisteo; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no services.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Grinnell’s name may be directed to the Scott United Methodist Church, 6816 Route 41, Homer, NY 13077.
