Sally J. Hawks

Sally J. Hawks, 72, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the Cortland Regional Medical Center.

Sally was born October 21, 1943 in Homer, a daughter of the late Bernard R. and Marguerite Ellis Hollenbeck.

Sally was a longtime employee at Smith Corona before becoming a loving daycare provider for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and walks on Myrtle Beach looking for seashells.

Surviving is her loving husband of 55 years, Douglas M. Hawks; her children, Scott (Jodie) Hawks; Kevin (Penny) Hawks; Kirk (Kathy) Hawks; Jamie (Rebecca) Hawks; Melissa (Jeramy) Gratton and Brian (Tisha) Hollenbeck. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister, Delores Stillman (Rick); two brothers, Douglas (Sue) Hollenbeck and Rick (Mary Ellen) Hollenbeck, several, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sally was predeceased by her brothers, Tony Hollenbeck and Duane Hollenbeck and an infant daughter, Robin.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In keeping with Sally's wishes there will be no calling hours.
