Karen LeRoux Sovocool

Karen LeRoux Sovocool, 51, of Homer, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2017 in Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

A lifelong area resident, Karen was born February 26, 1966 in Cortland, a daughter of the late Margaret LeRoux.

For the past 10 years Karen had been employed at Cornell University as an account representative at Cornell Health.

Karen loved animals, long walks, being in her garden, reading and listening to music. She was a loving mother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her two children, Alyssa R. Sovocool of Homer and Zackary L. Sovocool, currently a student at SUNY Fredonia; her fiancé, Michael Wilson; sister Dianne Seaman (Todd Dawson) of Homer; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at Noon on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Donald L Barber Funeral Home, 5016 Route 11, Homer.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions in Karen's name may be directed to the SPCA in your community.
