Jean Frary Weddle passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
She was born in Homer, December 9, 1925, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie Lilly Frary.
Jean graduated from Homer Academy and Beaux Art School of Beauty Culture in Syracuse.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #222 of Homer, First United Methodist Church of Homer, Little York Garden Club, Farm Bureau, the PL&H Home Bureau and was on the Board of Managers at the Elizabeth Brewster House.
Jean enjoyed her garden, sewing, knitting, and most of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She worked alongside her husband, Stanley on their dairy farm north of Homer for many years.
Surviving are her four children, William (Carol) Weddle; Dan (Cheryl) Weddle; Connie (Mike) Ingraham and Patty (Peter) Knapp; eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; her sister, Margaret Foster and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded by the death of her husband, Stanley Weddle in 1990; a sister, Lois Streeter and a brother, B. Milford Frary.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at the Donald L. Barber Funeral Home, 5016 US Route 11, Homer, with Rev. Sung Jun Park officiating. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery will be delayed until spring.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
