Donald H. Fox

Donald H. Fox, quietly departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 with family by his side in Satellite Beach, FL at the age of 93.

Don was born on October 23, 1923 in Cortland, N.Y. to the late Harry & Louise Fox.  He married his loving wife of 52 years, Janice Carey Fox on December 24, 1955.

Don served in World War II and was honored for his service in the Army. He is a member of the American Legion.

He pursued his passion for driving semi-trailer trucks while working for Cortland Asphalt as a transport driver. In the latter part of his career, Don continued his service as a Sheriff for the Cortland County judicial system.

Don loved his family most and passed on his enthusiasm for cars and motorcycles to his sons. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.

He is survived by his sons: Bill, Scott (Karen), Jack (Terri), Jim (Jonel), and sister, Joyce Catalto. Grandchildren, Stacey, Shane, Scott, Colby, John, Justin, Lacey, Katie, Lyndsay (Chris); great grandchildren, Zac, Taylor, Kyler, Conner, Alyssa, Chase, Ryker, Aurora and Skylar.

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Janice Carey Fox in 2008; grandson, Shawn R. Fox; siblings, Elba Fox Sawickey, Leslie, Gordon, Richard and Robert Fox.

Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 26, 2017 in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer.
